Fantastic Kickoff Last Night!

Last night was the official kick off Stockholm Writer's Festival 2018!

Authors, agents, committee members and volunteers, some flying in from overseas, gathered at Catherine's incredible apartment to launch the start of this momentous event. The weather gods must've got the memo too because it welcomed us with flawless blue skies. Did this festival really summon Spring to Sweden? Yes! Of course! A single idea turned into an excel sheet then a powerpoint and morphed into stellar cast of people and it's finally materialising tonight. The region's first English language literary event! So yes! Magic happens (plus hours of behind the scenes work and planning).

In just a few short hours, the festival will kick off at Berghs School of Communication! Official registration begins at 4pm. At 5pm our guest authors Elinor Lipman, Derek. B Miller, Jess Lourey, Cassie Gonzalez and Marina Blitshteyn will read short passages of their work, followed by the presentation of the First Pages Prize winners. We'll end the night with a mingle at Hotel Hellsten at 8pm. It's going to be an action packed weekend so drop by tonight and kick it off with us in style! Inspiration. Literature. Fantastic weather. What more you could want?
